Model for Make Up School

Lately it might seem I have gone MIA on blogging but it’s just been so busy.
I do however intend to post more often in the future starting today with something very cool.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to follow my friend Saskia to make up school and be a model for one of her classes.
The theme was 50’s make up so imagine Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn inspired looks.
I had so much fun.  This was the first time I ever had my make up done so I was really excited about it.
The classes are given by a MAC make up artist.
First she started off by showing different looks of the 50’s followed by a small part from the movie “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” to set the mood. (Which reminded me again that I really should see this movie).
She also showed on one of the students how to create the perfect 50’s look with the winged liner and the red lips.
Then it was time to work with the models. I had to sit still for about 2 hours but the result was really worth it.  And since my friend is also a photographer, I now have gorgeous pictures of the finished look.

The inspiration for the evening

After, feeling very retro

And finally the finished look and pictures

Big thanks to Saskia for the great evening and the beautiful pictures!
