Model for Make Up School

Lately it might seem I have gone MIA on blogging but it’s just been so busy.
I do however intend to post more often in the future starting today with something very cool.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to follow my friend Saskia to make up school and be a model for one of her classes.
The theme was 50’s make up so imagine Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn inspired looks.
I had so much fun.  This was the first time I ever had my make up done so I was really excited about it.
The classes are given by a MAC make up artist.
First she started off by showing different looks of the 50’s followed by a small part from the movie “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” to set the mood. (Which reminded me again that I really should see this movie).
She also showed on one of the students how to create the perfect 50’s look with the winged liner and the red lips.
Then it was time to work with the models. I had to sit still for about 2 hours but the result was really worth it.  And since my friend is also a photographer, I now have gorgeous pictures of the finished look.

The inspiration for the evening

After, feeling very retro

And finally the finished look and pictures

Big thanks to Saskia for the great evening and the beautiful pictures!

Same – Different

Outfit: Blazer: Zara / Sweater: Cos / Legging & Scarf: H&M / Boots: Fornarina
Earrings: Accessorize / Jewelry: different brands

Same blazer but different styling
I picked up this blazer at Zara during the weekend and I already know that I’ll be wearing it a lot.  One way or another, Zara blazers just really do the trick for me.  They fit perfect and they are so comfortable to wear.
So I’ve been thinking of different ways to style it.

This is what I came up with for today.
It’s more toned down than the bright look from yesterday.
Again I went for a combination of prints and materials but with a returning mustard colour to keep it stylish.

If you know any other great ways to style the blazer, let me know.

Bright

Outfit: Blazer & Sweater: Zara / Jeans: LTB / Boots: Fornarina / Scarf: small handcraft shop in Florence /
Necklace: Thomas Sabo / Earrings: Accessorize / Jewelry: Combination of brands

A bright colour and a combination of prints always do the trick on a dark and gloomy day.
It’s Monday again so back to work!

Have a wonderful week

On my Christmas wishlist!
The beauty of this watch says is all so no further explanation needed.
Maybe if I smile real nicely at my hubbie?

Inside

Outfit: Sweater & Jeans: Zara / Cardigan & Scarf: H&M / Boots: Miss Sixty

Already Wednesday! I can’t believe how fast time is going.
It’s feels like yesterday it was still summer and today winter has finally arrived.
I love the cold weather and the crisp air of winter evenings.

This season is perfect for layering clothes.
I decided to add a sleeveless black cardigan to my outfit to keep me warm and to tone down the bright orange colours in my sweater and scarf.

Hope you enjoy winter as much as I do.

P.S. Only 5 weeks to Christmas!

Soft

Outfit: Jeans: Seven for All Mankind / Coat: Pepe Jeans / Sweater: Vero Moda / Hat: H&M
Scarf: Zara / Shoes: Steve Madden

This is one of my favourite outfits for winter.
Jeans, a cosy knitwear sweater, a scarf, a hat and my fake fur coat. I think it looks kind of Boho chic and it’s so warm and comfortable.

Lately it has not been easy to take outfit pictures because by the time I get home from work, it’s almost dark outside.  So I think I’ll have to start searching for a great indoor spot.

The Angels are back

It’s that time of the year again for the most wonderful fashion show ever:
The Victoria’s Secret Angel Show.
Prepare yourself for a lot of pretty woman, breathtaking wings and gorgeous lingerie.

Victoria’s Secret is opening their first European shop in London in the beginning of 2012.
Guess where I’m going next year!

Crush

I found the perfect leopard print booties.
They are the House of Harlow 1960 Natalia hair calf platform booties and they are gorgeous.
Perfect print, perfect heel, perfect brand and … perfect name!
Like they’re meant to be mine. And we all know, what is meant to be, will be!
Right?

Bows and Pearls

This weekend I went shopping with my friends.  We had a wonderful girls day with lots of fun, food, wine and of course clothes!
A few of my many purchases were these two lovely knitwear sweaters I found at Vero Moda and H&M.  I absolutely love knitwear for the winter.
It’s classy, it’s chique and so comfortable to wear.

Hope you had a great weekend as well!
