Newies

I’m currently enjoying a wonderful week of vacation but I still wanted to share a quick post of my new make-up palettes which I picked up at Sephora.
The Urban Decay Naked Palette and the Too Faced Naked Palette.  Both have been on my wishlist for ages so I couldn’t be happier with them.

Isabel Marant look-alikes

One of my dream collections, of which I want to own almost every piece, is Isabel Marant.  The sleek pants, the easy chic mini dresses and the gorgeous fringe boots are like a dream come true.  Unfortunately this wonderful collection also comes with a serious price tag.

So I was very pleased when I found these pretty look-alike boots at Zara.  Outfit posts will follow soon!  I’m already thinking about all the different ways I can style them.

On the left: the Isabel Marant fringe boots
On the right: the affordable Zara version, currently joining my shoe family!

Style Icon

Source: People.com

No outfit pictures of me today but instead some of my n°1 style icon, Nicole Richie.  She has a perfect way of mixing fashion with boho chic, but always in a classy way.

As you might have noticed my blog is now also on Facebook and Twitter.  I’m kind of new to Twitter so my tweets will be really basic in the beginning but I will certainly try to keep you updated on everything.

Hopefully this weekend the weather will be better so I can shoot some more outside pictures.  Lately it has been almost impossible because of the rain or the fact that when I get home from work, it’s already dark. But I have a few ideas in my head that I might work on in the next few weeks.

Have a lovely Wednesday

The Kirilove dress

Outfit: Dress: Tiany Kirilove by Vero Moda / Blazer: Zara / Boots: Bruno Premi
Earrings: Pieces / Watch: Guess / Bracelets: different brands

I got this dress when I went shopping with my friends in HasseltIt’s from the Tiany Kirilove by Vero Moda collection.  For those of you who don’t know the lovely Miss Kiriloff, here’s an update: She’s one of the most famous Belgian fashionistas who is known for her eclectical style.  She is also the co-founder of Belmodo.tv and a published author. (Her book is already on my Christmas wishlist).

Speaking of Christmas, I couldn’t wait any longer so I put up my Christmas tree today.  I know for some people it’s a little early but I just love everything about Christmas:
There’s a reason the song goes: “It’s the most wonderful time of the year!”

Have a “wonderful” weekend

Model for Make Up School

Lately it might seem I have gone MIA on blogging but it’s just been so busy.
I do however intend to post more often in the future starting today with something very cool.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to follow my friend Saskia to make up school and be a model for one of her classes.
The theme was 50’s make up so imagine Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn inspired looks.
I had so much fun.  This was the first time I ever had my make up done so I was really excited about it.
The classes are given by a MAC make up artist.
First she started off by showing different looks of the 50’s followed by a small part from the movie “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” to set the mood. (Which reminded me again that I really should see this movie).
She also showed on one of the students how to create the perfect 50’s look with the winged liner and the red lips.
Then it was time to work with the models. I had to sit still for about 2 hours but the result was really worth it.  And since my friend is also a photographer, I now have gorgeous pictures of the finished look.

And finally the finished look and pictures

Big thanks to Saskia for the great evening and the beautiful pictures!
