Just a quick post wearing my new jacquard pants.  I saw them at Zara and I immediately loved them. Since we are still experiencing unusual warm weather for March, I chose to pair them with a light grey knit, a bright multicolored scarf and of course my beloved hot pink pumps.

Floral pants and changing wardrobes

Yesterday I decided it was time to switch my closet from winter into spring/summer.  Temperatures have finally risen enough so winter coats and furry sweaters can be put away for several months and make place for lighter outfits.  I always love to switch my closet because this way I can rediscover my outfits and think of new ways to update them.

For example with these floral pants.  I picked them up at H&M during a really fast shopping trip earlier this week and they have turned out to be a great addition to my wardrobe.

Today we spent the afternoon with friends. Just enjoying the sun, catching up and sharing some laughs.  The perfect Sunday!

I’m totally in love with this jacket!  At first I just passed by it but my husband had seen it and he really wanted me to try it out.  Although he usually likes the way I dress, he also thinks that a little more casual items would look great on me too. So I gave it a try and I must say, I immediately loved it.  It has the casual look, which we were looking for, but can still be styled in various ways.  Ever since I bought, I have worn it almost every day! 

Only one more day and it’s weekend again. Weather forecast: sunny skies and 20°C!

Exotic lilies and pink pumps

This weekend one of my good friends got married. As I mentioned before she asked me to do her hair and make-up so I was really honoured but at the same time a little nervous because I wanted her to look really beautiful.  It turned out I didn’t have to worry, she looked absolutely stunning!  As every bride should!

This is the dress that I wore to the wedding.  I immediately fell in love with it when I saw it.  It’s strapless with a beautiful print of exotic lilies and it has pink in it!  Perfect!  For jewellery I decided to keep it really simple so I only wore earrings and a silver bracelet.  This way the dress would be the eyecatcher. However I did add my new hot pink pumps!

Do fashion blogs have an influence on our buying behaviour or are we already fashionably made?

Wauw, this sounds a bit like an intro from Sex and the City but that’s because I have something really exciting to share with you!

Last week I got contacted by Eline Van Den Berghe.  She is a senior college student at the University of Gent and is currently working on her thesis about fashion blogs and how they can have an influence on our buying behaviour.

There are a few main points that she would like to get more information about:

1. Who reads fashion blogs.

2. Since when did fashion blogs become really popular and for how long have we been reading them.

3. Are fashion blogs more reliable than fashion magazines.

4. Do fashion blogs have a significant influence on our buying behaviour.  For example, do we shop more since we read them or did we change our shopping habits into for ex. online shopping.

5. Is there a difference in the buying behaviour of people who read fashion blogs and people who don’t.

To get a more precise answer to these questions, Eline has made a survey in which she included these 5 questions.  I already filled it out and I must say the topic and the questions are really interesting and make me very curious about the results.

And now for the exciting part, she asked me, and my readers, for our help with this survey.

Starting today you will find the link to the survey at the end of my blog posts.  I will also put it on my Facebook and Twitter page. It would be wonderful if you could take the time to fill it out and help Eline get the information she needs.

In a few months she will then give me the results which of course I will share with you.

Hope you’ve had a wonderful weekend!  Mine has been really busy.  Yesterday we had a bachelorette day for one of my good friends who is getting married next week.  I’m so excited for her and also a little nervous because she asked me to do her hair and make-up on her wedding day!  Yay!

Last weekend I went shopping for my dress and shoes.  Pictures of the dress will follow later on, but I do already want to show you my matching super cute hot pink pumps.  They are by the Belgian brand Noë and I absolutely love them!

Silk scarf and boyfriend jeans

I am a real scarf person.  Every time I see a beautiful one, I cannot resist buying it.  My collection has grown quite a lot over the past couple of years but I did not yet own a Carré Scarf.  During my shopping trip over the weekend I saw a few really nice ones at Veritas and decided to buy two of them.  They are feminine, stylish and so nice to wear and I already now they will become a staple in my wardrobe.

This one has a lot of gorgeous prints going on so I paired it with a simple white shirt, my new boyfriend jeans (in love) and a light grey blazer.

There’s something about flared jeans that makes me want to wear them every day.

I love the way they elongate your legs and how they make you feel casual and chic at the same time. 

We have such a nice weekend planned out.  Sleeping in, shopping, dinner, movie night on the couch, brunch,… I’m fully going to enjoy those 2 days because they will be over so fast!
